Public Cloud
Requirements at scale
Cloud computing provides easy, scalable access to computing resources. It’s so versatile that almost every business today runs with at least one cloud component.
At Coreix we have a variety of public cloud platforms we have partnered with. We have developed extensive expertise and offered innovative products that give you reliability and security for your data.
What is public cloud?
Public cloud environments are one of the most common variants of cloud computing deployments. The cloud servers and storage resources are owned and operated by a third-party cloud service provider such as Coreix and delivered via the Internet. In public cloud, all hardware, software, and other supporting infrastructure are owned and managed by the cloud provider. Coreix Cloud, Microsoft Azure and AWS are examples of public cloud.
Within a public cloud you utilise the same hardware, storage, and network devices as other organisations and businesses - We call these tenants. In these solutions, you have access to services and manage your footprint using a web browser.
Public cloud deployments can be utilised for a wide array of solutions such as providing e-mail services, online applications, storage applications in addition to testing and development environments.
The key advantages of public clouds:
-
Lower costs: There is no need to purchase hardware or software since you pay for the services you use.
-
No maintenance: Since the service provider provides this work on your behalf.
-
Near-unlimited scalability: Resources available on-demand are there to meet your business requirements.
-
High reliability: A vast network of servers within a highly available datacentre environment ensures against failure.
Public cloud users are not really optimising their costs. It is estimated they waste 32% of their cloud spend*. Coreix can help you achieve a more optimised solution for your cloud footprint.

A consultative approach to public cloud
Coreix offers consultation services above what you can receive directly from Azure or AWS. We work with our clients to optimise the services we provide to our clients going beyond consultancy to achieve a model that helps clients achieve a solution that works for their business.
We cover the basic five pillars:
-
Cost: Finding the most cost-effective solution for your workloads.
-
Operational Excellence: This includes the ability to support the development and run workloads effectively and to gain insight into operations and continuously improve supporting processes and procedures.
-
Performance Efficiency: Analysing current solutions and finding the best performance for the workloads that you currently operate. This is the ability to use computing resources efficiently to meet system requirements, in addition to maintaining efficiency as demand changes and technologies evolve in time.
-
Reliability: Adding the required resilience to all solutions developed, whether that be from high availability, horizontal scaling and load balancing or clustering technologies. It deals with the ability of a workload to perform its intended function correctly and consistently.
-
Security: The ability to protect data and systems in addition to assets to take advantage of cloud technologies in order to improve security.
In the consultancy phase, we work with our clients to define a solid strategy and a set of requirements. We undertake discovery and assessment of your current technological estate and architect to your targetted platform

Microsoft Azure Public Cloud
Azure at its core is a public cloud computing platform with solutions including Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), and Software as a Service (SaaS) that can be utilised for services such as analytics, virtual machines, containerisation, storage, networking, or more elaborate use cases such as Business Intelligence (BI) and Machine Learning (ML). Azure can be utilised to replace or augment other technological solutions.
Microsoft is one of the market leaders in public cloud and has made it relatively easy for organisations to start utilising the cloud.
In general, the Microsoft Azure cloud platform is a collection of over 200 products and cloud services engineered to help customers build out technological solutions for hosting their infrastructure. You have the ability to build, run and manage applications across multiple clouds. Coreix can help you on your Azure journey with our consultancy and support services in combination with our partner agreements.
Amazon Web Services

AWS has invested significantly into services and has significant quantities of features within those services. These services include infrastructure technologies such as compute, storage, and simple databases to more emerging technologies such as Machine Learning (ML) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) in addition to Data Lakes and Internet of Things (IoT).
AWS is architected to be flexible yet secure cloud computing. The core infrastructure is built to satisfy the security requirements for such applications as military and global banks. This is backed by cloud security tools in addition to security, compliance, and governance services.
Cloud utilisation empowers businesses to stay agile and future-ready, adapting rapidly to changing market conditions and technological advancements.
