This also allows you to connect infrastructure that might not be suitable for public cloud and utilise the public cloud benefits in the areas that are suitable for it.

How do I get started?

There are multiple avenues to get your journey started. The best way is to work with a consultant to help you decide the best path.

Some traditional journeys start with clients who have on-premise solutions and want to virtualise their estate. This can include building out a private cloud solution for such customers to start with since they are not necessarily comfortable with the public cloud as a concept at this stage.

Once you have a private cloud you can calculate your stable workloads and separate out applications and services which are more dynamic and burst, these are the types of loads you can put into the public cloud while keeping stable and reliable workloads on well-defined infrastructure.

The consultancy phase analyses workloads and the applications can be scaled, load-balanced and how we can start to think horizontally as opposed to vertically. 

Naturally, there will be periods of migration from an existing solution and workloads will require monitoring and analysing. Many clients can take significantly long periods of time to migrate their solutions. We can work with such clients and help keep their migrations on track and help support their process.
