Resilience
Every rack benefits from A & B power feeds, with each pair of halls supported by a dedicated UPS set in a N+N configuration. In line with our passion for the environment, a highly efficient UPS plant has been selected to maximize the efficiency of power delivery at the site. Standby power is provided via diesel generators that are capable of providing 72 hours of continuous power at full load capacity. This is further supplemented by fuel standby contracts to ensure continuity of supply and a rigorous service and maintenance programme. The operating environment is maintained at optimum temperature and humidity by the chilled water cooling infrastructure, delivered via a dual fed, highly resilient ring circuit. Our power and cooling infrastructure is designed to be concurrently maintainable as per Tier III standards. All chillers and CRAC units are built on an N+1 configuration, with pumps and CRAC's deployed as part of the 'critical load' and therefore benefiting from UPS protection in addition to standby generator provision.

Security
Coreix is a firm believer that good security is at the heart of any successful datacentre. Security begins at the front gate; the entire site being 'non-branded', protected by a 3 metre high perimeter fence and monitored by IP CCTV by our on-site NSI Gold accredited 24x7x365 security personnel. The facility is further protected by security bollards at the building perimeter, and all external plant equipment is self contained within a secure compound.

A 'layered' approach to access is in operation, with all individuals being restricted to those areas to which they require access. All visitors to site must be pre-booked and are subject to screening at the manned vehicle entry. Once on-site all personnel are processed at our secure reception. In addition to visual identity checks and processes, access to the technical areas is further restricted by biometric scanning equipment. Each Data Hall has unique access protocols to ensure only authorised personnel and visitors are granted access as required.

This 'multi-layered' approach to Security is designed to prevent unauthorized access by checking that all visitors to site have been authorized and ensures that if any level is breached there is another check immediately.

Coreix has always been passionate about the environment with its acheivements including being the first datacentre in the UK to voluntarily offset their emmisions. As a natural continuation of this philosophy our Enfield Datacentre offers 100% renewable energy, a PUE of less than 1.6, free-cooling features, hot and cold aisle layouts & design and is build to L.E.E.D standards. This facility has been issued with a Renewable LECS which guarantees that an equivalent unit of accredited renewable energy is generated for every unit of grid energy used.
